On December 11, 13 and 14, fans of The Cure will be able to watch “The Cure: The Show of a Lost World” in UCI theaters. Filmed in London during the release of the 2024 album “Songs of a Lost World”, the concert film will have special sessions, with advance ticket sales available on the network’s website and box offices from November 20. |
Shot at the Troxy venue and directed by Nick Wickham, who has previously worked with artists such as Iggy Pop, Rihanna and Ivete Sangalo, the film presents the full performance of the band’s latest album, in the only moment when all tracks were performed live. It also features a set celebrating the 45th anniversary of “Seventeen Seconds”, the group’s second record. |
According to the British magazine NME, the film is “a celebration of a band that is still at the peak of its career”. In total, the repertoire features 31 songs, including classics such as “Just Like Heaven”, “Friday I’m in Love” and “Boys Don’t Cry”. |
Considered one of the most influential rock bands in the world, The Cure has sold more than 30 million albums, performed four times as Glastonbury headliners and received two Brit Awards. Their most recent visit to Brazil was in December 2023, as the main attraction of the Primavera Sound festival. |
More information on tickets, prices and programming is available on the network’s website. Members of UCI Unique, the network’s loyalty program, receive half-price admission on any day and session. To join, customers must purchase the card at a UCI box office, |
