BioParque do Rio celebrates Tim’s 29th birthday on Thursday, November 27, during the park’s Black Friday event.
The celebration begins at 9:30 AM and offers free admission for children up to 12 years old with a paying adult, valid only for online purchases with official ID.
Tim will receive a special three-tier cake made with mango at the base, watermelon in the center, and kale on top, decorated with balls, grass braids, and natural flowers.
The hippo shares his routine with Bocão in the 13,000-square-meter Savana enclosure, including a nearly 500,000-liter pool with ten other African species.
Bocão was born in the former RioZoo in 1994 and spent 26 years in a neighboring enclosure to Tim. Today, the duo symbolizes well-being, responsible management, and conservation at BioParque do Rio.
The park also features the Axolotls Kingdom, inspired by Día de Muertos and the Xochimilco canals, with educational panels on natural history and conservation.
The axolotls were rescued by the Federal Highway Police in 2022 and hosted at BioParque Pantanal before being transferred to Rio.
The park circuit includes a zip line, inflatable toys, playground with fountain, a food area with Burger da Beca, Boteco do Tião, Restaurante dos Primatas, and a souvenir shop.
