Orla Rio inaugurates seven new kiosks and will open five more by Christmas on Rio’s west and south zones.
Orla Rio is preparing for the most anticipated season for tourists and residents with new operations on the west and south sides of the city. The concessionaire manages 309 kiosks and 27 lifeguard stations from Leme to Prainha.
Seven kiosks were recently inaugurated for the summer. In addition, five more will open by the end of the year. Barra da Tijuca received four new operations. Recreio dos Bandeirantes received one. Copacabana received two.
The second Pato com Laranja operation on the waterfront is located in Barra da Tijuca. The Sunset, Nosso Quiosque and Dumar Sunset kiosks were also inaugurated in the neighborhood. Tô na Praia arrived in Recreio dos Bandeirantes.
In Copacabana, the Chill Out and Palace kiosks were inaugurated. Both are located near lifeguard station 3. Palace also expanded its structure.
By Christmas, five more kiosks will open in the south and west zones. In Barra, Frutos de Goiás, Cosechas, Hotel Radisson and Zé Delivery will arrive. In Leblon, Mirante Mar will be inaugurated.
The newly opened kiosks have already become meeting points for those who enjoy music, gastronomy, drinks and cold draft beer. Some offer live shows. Others focus on happy hour. All present diverse food options.
“We are always thinking about bringing news to Rio’s waterfront regardless of the season. We know that summer in Rio is special. Therefore, we expanded partnerships with brands that promise to please our visitors,” says Ingrid Lagrotta.
Currently, kiosks are essential elements of the city’s tourist experience. Their relevance goes beyond entertainment and gastronomy. Orla Rio has become one of the city’s main landmarks.
Kiosks have become destinations for residents and tourists, not just transit points. They concentrate leisure, culture and gastronomy in a single beachfront space.
“Tourists know Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain, but they always visit the beaches and kiosks. Service quality makes them extend their stay,” the director comments.
According to Ingrid, the beach experience has been elevated to a complete ecosystem of entertainment, gastronomy and culture. Parque da Orla expands partnerships and cultural and sports activations.
