Edu Pio brings the free kids’ show Nature Preservation Show to Belo Horizonte cultural centers this January vacation, featuring songs about endangered animals.
Artist, composer and researcher Edu Pio, creator of Super Pamp, stages the Nature Preservation Show. Drawn from the album “On-ca-pe—bube—bi-ra-pa”, it blends axé music, theater and games. The goal is to raise environmental preservation awareness.
Minas Gerais Animals Inspire Songs
Aimed at children yet engaging all ages, the show spotlights original songs on threatened species from Minas Gerais biomes. Key figures include jaguar, bush dog, catfish, brown howler monkey, dove tree frog, bicudo, spiny rat and merganser duck.
Interactive games like Jaguar Roar, Hide-and-Seek and Fish Train delight audiences in a fun, hands-on way.
On stage, Edu Pio (voice, guitar and compositions) joins Fábio Martins (percussion), Samy Erick (guitar) and Leo Brasilino (trombone). Ana Lu Barroso‘s set design features puppets and props for deep immersion.
Lasting 45 minutes, it sparks movement, singing and bonding among parents, babies and kids. Past venues include Teatro Raul Belém Machado (2022), Diversão em Cena – ArcelorMittal in Sabará (2023) and Belo Horizonte EMEIs (2023–2025).
In 2025, it secured Edital BH Fomento funding for cultural center tours.
