São Paulo turns 472: Chef Aldo Teixeira unveils limited-edition picadinho with tender beef, poached egg, and nostalgic flavors for just $19.
Classic Revival with Modern Twist
Leading Forchetta D’Oro and La Terrina, Chef Aldo Teixeira reimagines São Paulo’s iconic picadinho. It features braised beef cubes with potato, carrot, mushrooms, and roti sauce. Served with white rice, banana farofa, and poached egg.
This timeless pairing highlights bold tastes and textures. Available January 19-25 for R$ 99 (about $19).
I wanted to honor the picadinho as it’s always been served in São Paulo—a dish woven into the city’s history and daily life. My take refines the technique, precision, and balance. It’s a tribute full of heart.
Aldo’s cuisine mirrors São Paulo’s cultural mosaic. Italian roots blend Brazilian, French, and Portuguese influences. The dish captures the city’s dynamic, multicultural spirit.
