Venice takes center stage in the Bottega Veneta Summer 2026 campaign, shot by Juergen Teller and ushering in Louise Trotter’s new era.
Bottega Veneta launches its Summer 2026 campaign today, photographed in Venice by Juergen Teller. The city choice nods to the house’s roots in the Veneto region, while also signalling a fresh creative chapter under Louise Trotter.
Venice as a visual statement
Teller’s signature raw, unvarnished approach meets the elegance of Venetian heritage across a carefully mapped set of locations. The campaign features the Giardini Napoleonici, Palazzo Rocca Contarini Corfù, Palazzo Contarini Polignac, Conservatorio di Musica Benedetto Marcello, the Lido, and the Angolo Fiorito flower shop outside Palazzo Franchetti near the Accademia Bridge.
Moving between public and private spaces, interiors and exteriors, and daytime and night scenes, the imagery mirrors the collection’s tensions: precise daywear tailoring set against exuberant details and opulent textures that define Trotter’s debut line for the house.
Cultural echoes: Guggenheim and Capote
The campaign also nods to cultural figures closely tied to Venice, with allusions to Peggy Guggenheim and Truman Capote. Beyond personalities, it places the collection in conversation with the city’s visual abundance — from a sculpture in the gardens to a faded tapestry on a palazzo wall, from an intricately carved lintel to the sound of an organ played at the Conservatorio.
Craft, Intrecciato, and iconic bags
On the product side, the story spotlights Trotter’s innovative dialogue with Bottega Veneta craft. It points to the proportions of the original Intrecciato and the evolution of iconic Bottega Veneta bags, framing tradition as a living code rather than a museum piece.
