Camarote Aura premiered during the technical rehearsal with a Sector 2 rooftop beside the drum break, unveiling one of Sapucaí’s sharpest sightlines.
The VIP space arrived as a brand-new commercial footprint on Rio’s Sambadrome. Set in Sector 2, right next to the first drum break area, it places guests where samba schools build momentum before hitting the avenue at full force—close enough to feel the pace, the chants, and the pre-parade tension.
With a mystical visual identity and a sensory concept, Aura leaned into an immersive atmosphere. The rooftop quickly became the headline feature, thanks to its privileged angle over one of the most electric zones of Marquês de Sapucaí.
The project was conceived by Luiz Guimarães, president of Unidos de Vila Isabel, and produced by Grupo Vibra, an entertainment holding celebrating 20 years in the market and entering Brazil’s most iconic event for the first time. Fabrício Bahruth, from Grupo Vibra, says the difference is service and party curation: “We want to bring into the box the same standard as Rio’s most talked-about parties, combining comfort, entertainment, and an unforgettable experience from the meeting point to Sapucaí.”
Until this year, the location hadn’t been commercially explored. That’s why Aura positions itself as a new way to watch the parade: the moment the schools arrive and emotion spikes. The setup includes three floors, indoor areas, outdoor vantage points, and access to the frisa.
Guimarães frames it as an experience built by people who truly know Carnival: “Those who live Carnival day to day understand the strength of Brazilian culture and what the audience wants to feel while being there. Creating a box in this never-before-used spot on the avenue is meant to offer something different—more than watching the parade, Aura is for those who want to experience Sapucaí in a way no one has before. I invited Vibra to add their expertise in major events, and together we’ll deliver a unique experience and turn this space into a new landmark on the avenue. It’s a box made by people who know Carnival for real and designed for those who want to feel Sapucaí pulsing up close,” says Luiz Guimarães.
Why the name “Aura” matters
Carnival commentator Milton Cunha explained the name and the symbolism of the spot: “What is Aura? We all have an aura! The word, of Latin origin, means that good feeling of wind on your face, a breeze. And why that name? Because the box is at the best point on Sapucaí, right in front of the gate where everything begins—the now, the today. At Aura, the audience will have the privilege of watching the schools getting ready, hearing samba singers perform old hymns calling on their ancestors, and seeing, up close, the front commission take the first step. Aura is a box to honor the parade—the stars are the Schools, and Aura will be there to applaud the sambistas,” Milton explained.
Lineup, parties, and premium food
Aura targets a young, always-online crowd with comfort, innovation, and a heavyweight lineup. Confirmed names include Ludmilla, Matheus e Kauan, Filipe Ret, Xande de Pilares, L7nnon, Ferrugem, Belo, Mumuzinho, BK, Kevin o Chris, Cabelinho, and more. The box also features Encontros Casuais, a resident band led by Mosquito and Inácio Rios, plus special editions of Rio party brands like Arca de Noé and DJ sets from Adorofrozen and SubaJovem.
One of the key nights is February 18, when Arca de Noé hosts a special show by João Gomes. On the food side, chef Tassi Lage signs the menu with a contemporary approach designed for long parade nights, including themed stations and service in the frisa.
Meeting point at Fashion Mall + transfers
Fashion Mall will serve as the official meeting point for check-in, kit pickup, and T-shirt customization. From there, guests can take an exclusive transfer with direct access to Camarote Aura, designed to streamline arrival and the return trip on parade nights.
