Eight years after vanishing in Cairo, a girl returns home. What should be relief becomes a living nightmare. The official trailer for The Mummy’s Curse is here.
A Reunion That Turns Into Horror
Warner Bros. Pictures unveiled the official trailer for The Mummy’s Curse on February 18, directed by Lee Cronin. The film opens in theaters worldwide — including IMAX — on April 16, 2026.
The story follows the family of a journalist whose eldest daughter, Katie, vanishes without a trace in the deserts of Cairo. Eight years later, she returns. But the joy of the reunion is short-lived — what the family finds is deeply, disturbingly wrong.
Cronin’s Follow-Up to ‘Evil Dead Rise’
Cronin writes and directs following the box office triumph of Evil Dead Rise, which revived the beloved franchise to record-breaking results. Now he turns his attention to one of horror’s most iconic mythologies — the ancient Egyptian curse — with a bold and unsettling new vision.
“One of the most iconic horror stories of all time, told in a bold and disturbing way.” — Lee Cronin, writer and director
Cast and Crew
The film stars Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace, and Veronica Falcón, with production by James Wan, Jason Blum, and John Keville — a powerhouse trio in modern horror.
Behind the camera, the crew includes cinematographer Dave Garbett, editor Bryan Shaw, and composer Stephen McKeon. Executive producers are Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Macdara Kelleher, and Lee Cronin.
New Line Cinema, Atomic Monster, and Blumhouse present a Wicked/Good production. Warner Bros. Pictures handles worldwide distribution.
