Gabi Melim and Lagum headline a free beachside festival on Feb 28 and Mar 1, blending live music, sports, and environmental action in Rio.
A full weekend on the iconic “Sanca” beach
Rio Cultura & Saúde returns to the Arena Sanca on São Conrado Beach for a free, all-ages weekend event that turns one of Rio de Janeiro’s most beloved stretches of sand into a stage for sport, culture, and community. The festival runs on Saturday, February 28 and Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 9 AM to 8 PM.
Saturday kicks off with a yoga session led by Ju Guimarães at 9 AM, followed by talks on wellness and gastronomy featuring Thay Saraiva, Daniel Pinho, and Ju Guimarães. Beach tennis and children’s activities round out the morning lineup.
Sunday shifts the focus toward sustainability. The day begins with a functional training session with Diogo Pacheco, followed by the talk “Where Does Our Trash Go?”, led by Pedro Herbran alongside recycling advocate Binho da Reciclagem. At 11:30 AM, attendees are invited to join a beach cleanup action — one of the event’s signature commitments to environmental responsibility.
Música no Deck lights up the afternoons
Curated by radio stations Mix Rio FM and Nova Paradiso FM, the Música no Deck project takes over each afternoon with live performances in the open air. On Saturday, Rodrigo Lório (5 PM) and Oriente (6:30 PM) take the stage. Sunday closes out the weekend with sets by Gabi Melim (5 PM) and Lagum (6:30 PM). Between shows, DJ João Pedro keeps the energy alive.
At Rio Cultura & Saúde, the Música no Deck project — curated by Mix Rio FM and NovaParadiso FM — connects the city and transforms the beach into a cultural gathering space, where music blends with sports, leisure, and environmental awareness. Alexandre Rangel, Head of Events and Content, Grupo Dial Brasil
The Rio Cultura & Saúde project, in partnership with Música no Deck, creates a 360° connection — bringing together sports, great music, wellness, gastronomy, and social and environmental responsibility. All of it perfectly tied to the most democratic space of all: the beach. And of course, we had to choose an iconic spot, lovingly nicknamed “Sanca” by São Conrado locals. The carioca identity is all about living well in a good environment — and that’s exactly what we want to bring to our audience at Arena Sanca this summer.
