Living Colour drummer Will Calhoun returns to Blue Note SP on March 8 for an intimate concert blending jazz, rock, and ethnic rhythms. A two-time Grammy winner, Calhoun is celebrated for his boundary-pushing performances that merge rock, funk, jazz, and experimental percussion. Born in the Bronx, New York, he has built a career on innovation and musical openness. At Blue Note São Paulo, he will perform with Vitor Alcântara (sax and flute), Marcos Romera (piano), and Carlos Ribeiro (bass), promising a night of improvisation, virtuosity, and fusion spanning jazz fusion to punk-hardcore. As a founding member of Living Colour, Calhoun helped redefine rock by blending it with funk and soul. The group rose to fame after being discovered by Mick Jagger, who invited them to open shows for the Rolling Stones.
