Amabbi transforms in “Crisálida”, her most personal album

In “Crisálida”, Amabbi blends R&B and rap to depict a journey of feminine transformation through 13 emotional tracks. Released this Thursday (March 12), “Crisálida” marks a defining moment in Amabbi’s artistic evolution. After warming up listeners with singles “Deu Fuga” and “Old School”, the singer unveils a conceptual work built around the metaphor of metamorphosis — a stage between the beginning and the end, where true change happens.

“Rap is the shell. R&B lives inside the chrysalis — the emotional side,” Amabbi says.

The album balances the raw energy of rap with the introspection of R&B. Featuring collaborations with Clara Lima, YOÙN, Freeda, Cynthia Luz, DAY LIMNS, Elana Dara, and Clau, “Crisálida” was produced by GvsnoBeat, Modestto, and Los Brasileros. Inspired by conversations about womanhood and self-discovery, Amabbi builds narratives that resonate with shared female experiences. “I wanted to dive deep into what women talk about. That’s where transformation happens,” she reflects. Tracks like “Do Que é Feito o Amor?” bring soulful R&B textures with YOÙN, while “Mili, Mili” connects ancestral strength and feminine resilience. The project also explores pain, rage, heartbreak, and liberation through a poetic lens.
