Sesc 24 de Maio on March 27, bringing a spirit of resistance to downtown São Paulo.The March edition of

Samburbano has been energizing São Paulo’s streets since 2013. Its performances treat samba as a living language shaped by presence, storytelling, and collective memory.
Samburbano brings samba of resistance
The set moves through Afro-Brazilian ancestry with intense interpretations and a strong communal pulse. Each song becomes a story of
resistance, love, and shared memory. As a result, the performance highlights
samba as both cultural heritage and social force.At the same time,
Samba do Comerciário aims to expand access to culture in the city center at the end of the day. The format invites passersby and regular visitors to experience samba in an open, welcoming setting.
Next edition already set
The series will continue on April 24 with
Preta Batuque. The group will celebrate the strength of Black music and the ancestry that sustains women-centered gatherings through a large samba and pagode circle.
