Brazilian artist Pedro Luís unveils unreleased songs at Manouche, joined by Fernando Caneca, Davi Moraes, and Jade Baraldo on April 1 and 15.
Best known for his work with Pedro Luís e a Parede and the celebrated street carnival collective Monobloco, singer-songwriter Pedro Luís opens April at Rio de Janeiro’s Manouche venue with the debut of “Meus Azuis” — a deeply personal musical project. Guitarist Fernando Caneca, a long-standing partner on stage, anchors the sound throughout both nights.
Back to where it all began
“Meus Azuis” (My Blues) is rooted in Pedro Luís’s earliest days as a composer. Many of the songs in the project have never been recorded — pieces written at the moment he first understood himself as a songwriter, now stepping into the spotlight for the first time.
The idea came from a desire to bring out songs from the very first moment I understood myself as a composer — songs that, by chance, still have no recorded versions available. I realized they all shared a touch of ‘blues,’ and that’s where the name came from. For these first live experiences, I combined some of them with later compositions of mine, as well as pieces by authors and composers who are key references for me.

In “Meus Azuis”, the blues functions more as an atmosphere than a genre. The songs travel through memories, emotions, and musical landscapes that have accompanied the composer from the very beginning, weaving together unreleased originals, reinterpretations, and formative references.
Special guests each night
Each performance features a distinct special guest. On April 1, guitarist Davi Moraes joins the stage, bringing his inventive musical language and strong instrumental presence to the conversation.
More than a guest, Davi arrives as a partner in sonic crossing: a guitarist who doesn’t just accompany the music, but converses with it.

On April 15, singer-songwriter Jade Baraldo joins the show. She co-wrote “Faz um Carnaval Comigo” with Pedro Luís, a standout track from the Macro project, a collaboration between Pedro Luís and Batman Zavareze. Her expressive voice meets Pedro’s blues, uncovering new layers of tension and tenderness in the repertoire.
The setlist includes songs such as “Pregos na Garganta” and “Oração Blues”, co-written with Rodrigo Maranhão. Together, the two nights of “Meus Azuis” create a space of encounter — between eras of Pedro Luís’s work, generations of musicians, and the many shapes blues can take within Brazilian music.
