A bold new dish at Empório 37
Empório 37 has just added one of its most exciting dishes yet: a fresh shrimp ceviche. The plate brings together tangerine and Sicilian lemon tiger’s milk, mango, toasted cashews, and battered squid rings. The balance between citrus brightness and natural sweetness makes it a go-to choice on warm Rio days.
The new dish fits seamlessly alongside the bar’s well-known craft cocktails, already a favorite among locals and visitors to Ipanema.
Lunch specials and happy hour deals
Open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m., the venue keeps energy high all day. The executive lunch menu, available until 5 p.m., includes grilled chicken fillet (R$36), grilled tilapia (R$46), rib rice (R$58), and spaghetti bolognese (R$40). Vegetarians will appreciate the house omelet made with three free-range eggs (R$38). All plates come with fries, mashed potatoes, sautéed vegetables, salad, or beans.
Daily drink promotions run from noon to 9 p.m.: double caipirinha (R$22), double caipivodka (R$25), draft beer from R$12, Stella and Spaten long necks (R$15), and fresh juices — lime, pineapple, and grape — for R$10. During happy hour, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., all domestic cocktails plus Stella and Spaten drop by 50%.
Rock nights and weekly events
Every day brings its own vibe at Empório 37. On Tuesdays, classic pizzas come in double portions from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesdays belong to Quarta Delas, a night dedicated to women, with double caipirinhas for them throughout the evening.
Birthday guests always receive their first drink on the house. Tables of more than ten guests earn two free drinks and a complimentary pizza.
After 9 p.m., resident DJs spin rock sets through the night. On Thursdays, the second floor welcomes live bands from 11 p.m. onwards — free entry — making it one of the most popular nights out in Ipanema.
