Bartender Jaci Andrade brings M’Bareté to the Campari Bartender Competition 2026 semifinals. Taste it in Curitiba through May 17.
Curitiba has a contender in the Campari Bartender Competition 2026 — and the drink is already available for those who want to taste it and cheer her on. Bartender Jaci Andrade, from bar Purplecat, is showcasing her signature cocktail M’Bareté to the public. The drink combines Campari, fino sherry, corn nectar, and yerba mate soda, building an aromatic profile that is deeply rooted in southern Brazilian culture.
Southern flavors on a national stage
M’Bareté is more than a cocktail — it is a statement of identity. Jaci crafted the recipe to reflect her roots and her connection to the ingredients of southern Brazil. Yerba mate, an iconic symbol of Paraná and Gaúcho culture, pairs with the classic bitterness of Campari and the dry elegance of fino sherry to create a drink that stands out for its balance and originality.
Jaci is competing for one of three spots in the grand final of the competition, scheduled for June 8 in Rio de Janeiro. Reaching the semifinals is already a significant recognition of her talent in one of Brazil’s most prestigious mixology championships.
Stakes that could change a career
The prize package goes well beyond a trophy. The winner of the Campari Bartender Competition 2026 takes home R$ 20,000, a cultural and gastronomic immersion trip to Mexico — host country of the next LATAM Final —, and a spot to represent Brazil at the Campari Latin American Final. The champion also earns the title of Campari Ambassador, opening doors both in Brazil and abroad.
With M’Bareté, Jaci Andrade proves that Paraná’s cocktail scene has its own voice, history, and flavor to compete at the national level.
Where to try M’Bareté
From April 15 through May 17, visitors can head to Purplecat in Curitiba, try the cocktail firsthand, and support Paraná’s representative in the competition. It is a rare chance to be part of a story that could reach the national final.
