The anthology Vozes MulherizArte na Maturidade arrives at Castelinho do Flamengo on March 15 with a poetry reading, signing session and live music.
The Vozes MulherizArte na Maturidade anthology brings together poems, short essays, testimonials and chronicles by 23 co-authors, mixing established and first-time writers from Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Curitiba, Porto Alegre and Brasília.
This is the sixth volume in the Vozes Femininas project. The series explores major issues shaping women’s lives today, from instinctive nature and historic struggles for space to race, class and empowerment.
Vozes MulherizArte na Maturidade live launch
Organized by writer Carla Cintia Conteiro, winner of the Paulo Mendes Campos Prize from UBE, the launch will feature a poetry reading, an autograph session and a performance of “Coisa de Mulher”.
The song was recently released as a single by the Zênitha Música label. It was written by Cacala Carvalho, Carla Cintia Conteiro, Ju Cassou and Marianna Leporace.
MulherizArte and Vozes Femininas
The anthology’s musical theme grew out of the monthly MulherizArte show. Since July 2024, the four artists have hosted the program on the Música de Propósito YouTube channel, which they also created and scripted.
There, they discuss the complexity of women’s lives through topics such as sexism, misogyny, menopause, maturity, feminism and the women who move the world. In that sense, the book expands a conversation already unfolding through music and video.
Since 2020, Quimideias has released five books in the project. Led by Carla Cintia Conteiro, the initiative received the Arte em Movimento Trophy twice and returns in 2026 through a partnership with the MulherizArte program.
