Harry and Dumbledore surrounded by flames star on the new illustrated cover of the sixth volume, featuring artwork by Levi Pinfold.
The long-awaited cover of the illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was unveiled this Wednesday. The dramatic image depicts Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore with raised wands amid flames, evoking the tone of J. K. Rowling’s sixth book. The global release is set for October, with the Brazilian edition published by Editora Rocco.
Fully illustrated in color and released in hardcover, this edition promises to enchant readers of all ages. With his poetic realism and technical mastery, Levi Pinfold brings to life scenes from Privet Drive to the top of the Astronomy Tower at Hogwarts.
The new volume also introduces illustrated portraits of key characters, including Horace Slughorn, Narcissa Malfoy, and Filius Flitwick. Pinfold was chosen to illustrate both the sixth and seventh books, following in the footsteps of Jim Kay, who created the artwork for the first five illustrated editions.
Since the release of the illustrated Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 2015, the series has become a worldwide publishing phenomenon, translated into more than 38 languages.
