Rio writer deciphers failed loves and rediscovers herself in 2026 audiobook “Para entender uma história de amor”, blending raw fragments and tender insights.
Autofiction mirroring emotional flux
Luciana Palhares, Rio-born multidisciplinary artist, independently releases her autofiction audiobook. It weaves short narratives, autobiographical essays, and poetry.
The fragmented style captures human emotions’ fluidity. “Our experiences only define us if we allow it,” Luciana notes. We can always seek fresh ways to live and be.
I grew up in an emotionally barren home, the total opposite of my spontaneous, curious essence. I sought attention and love in relationships with men for a long time, until I found my way back to myself.
Years of writing became her transformation tool. “The Luciana who wrote this book no longer exists. I’m someone else now, but I owe my former self who I am today,” she reflects.
Influences and diverse path
Drawn from Milan Kundera, Henry Miller, and Anaïs Nin, her syncopated, confessional prose feels like an open diary. For her, autofiction is psychic survival.
Beyond writing, she’s acted, delved into holistic therapy, and posed as a live model in Barcelona, her current home. Upcoming: two poetry books (Portuguese and English) plus therapeutic writing mentorships.
