The new Brazilian edition of “MOSSAD: The Kidon Executioners” (Cultrix, 488 pages, R$92.00) offers a revised and expanded look at the Israeli intelligence service and its shadow war against terrorism. Written by Peruvian journalist Eric Frattini, the book unveils decades of espionage and covert operations carried out in defense of Israel.

Featuring a documentary-style narrative, Frattini investigates twenty-six missions led by the Mossad’s Metsada division and its elite unit, the Kidon (“Bayonet”)—renowned for executing targeted assassinations worldwide. Over sixty years, the agency conducted missions of abduction and elimination against enemies of the state.

The book revisits operations against figures such as Adolf Eichmann and leaders of Al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, and Hamas, exploring how Israel’s intelligence apparatus blurred the lines between justice, survival, and geopolitics.

“Our task is to make history and then conceal it. We know that no one should interfere with what we do.” – Rafi Eitan, former head of the Metsada.

This edition includes new material on recent missions, the leadership of Yossi Cohen (head of Mossad since 2016), updated terminology from Israeli intelligence, and expanded bibliographic references. It is an essential read for those interested in espionage, security, and geopolitics.
