Águia Branca will drive Série Ouro judges and bring fan activations to Sapucaí from Feb 13–15 in Rio de Janeiro.
For the second year in a row, Águia Branca—an intercity passenger bus company within the Grupo Águia Branca—has confirmed its sponsorship of Rio de Janeiro’s Série Ouro Carnival parades. Organized by Liga RJ, the event brings 15 samba schools to the Marquês de Sapucaí sambadrome, each aiming to secure promotion to the city’s top-tier Group.
When Série Ouro hits Sapucaí
The parades are scheduled for February 13, 14, and 15. Across three nights, the schools compete under the scrutiny of an official panel of judges, whose scores decide the final standings and the coveted promotion spot.
Judges’ transport and in-venue activations
On the official parade nights, Águia Branca will handle transportation for the Série Ouro judges. Beyond the mobility operation, the company is also planning on-site brand activations designed to engage spectators in the Sapucaí grandstands.
On February 13 and 14, the company expects to hand out around 10,000 packs of confetti and streamers. Promoters in themed outfits will also take part, alongside activations timed during the parades.
Support ahead of Carnival: Novo Império’s Velha Guarda
Earlier in the season, the company also provided logistics by transporting the Velha Guarda of Associação Recreativa Escola de Samba Novo Império. The trip took place on the final technical rehearsal day, January 15, from the school’s headquarters in Madureira to the Marquês de Sapucaí.
Marking 80 years in 2026
“O Carnaval é uma das maiores expressões culturais do país, e contribuir para que ele aconteça com mobilidade, organização e excelência é motivo de orgulho para nós. Ao longo dessa trajetória, evoluímos junto com o Brasil, conectando pessoas e regiões e acompanhando o fortalecimento das tradições culturais que seguem mobilizando gerações”, destaca Drumond.
According to Grasiella Drumond, the company’s Marketing and Digital Manager, the initiative carries extra weight in 2026, when Águia Branca marks its 80th anniversary. She frames the sponsorship as a way to support a major cultural tradition while reinforcing the brand’s focus on organized, high-quality mobility.
