Aracati Carnival breaks record with 450,000 revelers

Léo Santana and Natanzinho Lima draw historic crowd in Aracati, surpassing the 300,000-person mark registered with Anitta and solidifying the celebration as a tourist destination in Ceará. The Aracati Carnival made history once again on Monday night (16). With performances by Léo Santana and Natanzinho Lima, Avenida da Folia welcomed an estimated crowd of 450,000 people, setting the largest audience ever recorded at the event and surpassing the previous record, which had been reached during singer Anitta’s show, when over 300,000 revelers were present. The new milestone reinforces the growth of Aracati Carnival as one of the main tourist destinations during the season in Ceará, attracting visitors from various regions of the state and also from other Brazilian states. The major movement was noticed on main access roads, in the hotel network and local commerce, highlighting the positive impact of the celebration on the municipality’s economy. The presence of major names in Brazilian music, combined with the structure set up to ensure safety and comfort for revelers, has directly contributed to the significant increase in attendance throughout the programming.

Tuesday’s lineup

This Tuesday (17), the celebration continues from 5 PM on Avenida with Pagode do Mistura, followed by Psirico (departing from Prazeres), Jackson Sobreira, Vintage Culture (also departing from Prazeres), Frank Limma, Zé Cantor, Thalys Rondinele and Júnior Vianna. In Majorlândia, the program begins at noon with DJ Eliézio and, subsequently, a show by singer Davizão, a name gaining national prominence and reinforcing the diversity of rhythms at the closing of the festivities.
