Second rehearsal kicks off at 3pm led by Simoninha
Tickets drop today via Ticket360 from 6pm. The free rehearsal features the Banda do Baixo Augusta led by Simoninha, the bloc’s artistic director. Joining are Bruna Pazinatto, Hevelson Oliveira, DJs Tatá Aeroplano and Daniel Martins, plus surprise artists and celebrities.
São Paulo’s largest carnival bloc and one of Brazil’s biggest picks Pavilhão Audio as its new rehearsal spot. Backed by Amstel and partnered with Audio, this ramps up pre-Carnival 2026 excitement.
“São Paulo Não Dorme” theme honors nightlife
In its 17th year, Acadêmicos do Baixo Augusta unveils “São Paulo Não Dorme” as its theme. It pays tribute to the city’s nightlife, tied to Laje do Baixo, a samba house opened in June 2025. The bloc draws from its roots in the iconic Baixo Augusta nightlife scene.
Main parade set for Feb 8 on Paulista Avenue
The parade hits February 8, gathering at 1pm at Avenida Paulista and Rua da Consolação corner. It starts at 2pm sharp and ends at 7pm. Stars Péricles and KL Jay join, showcasing São Paulo’s musical diversity. Produced by Baixo Augusta Produções, directed by Alê Youssef and Alê Natacci.
More rehearsals lined up at Pavilhão Audio
Besides January 18, expect sessions on January 25 and February 1. All free, with tickets on Ticket360 announced via the bloc’s Instagram.
