The party starts before you reach the street. Cachaça 51 is welcoming visitors at Rio de Janeiro’s two main airports with a Carnival-style activation featuring music, tastings, and a festive atmosphere for guests aged 18 and over.

What Cachaça 51 is doing for Carnival

The themed stands bring samba, performances by Carnival dancers, giveaway items, and drink samplings. The goal is simple: turn the airport flow into an instant warm-up for Rio’s biggest week, designed for quick interaction in a high-traffic setting.

On the menu, travelers can try the classic caipirinha made with Cachaça 51, plus shots and other mixed drinks from the brand’s portfolio. There’s also a spotlight on 51 ICE, a ready-to-drink line built around convenience and Brazil-inspired flavors.

Why Rio is the perfect landing point

Rio de Janeiro is one of Brazil’s most in-demand Carnival destinations, drawing people from across the country and abroad. That makes the airport the fastest way to meet the audience right at the moment they arrive for parades, street blocs, and parties.

“O Rio de Janeiro e o Carnaval traduzem muito do que a Cachaça 51 representa: tradição, alegria e brasilidade. Estar presente nesse momento, recebendo as pessoas com música e caipirinha, é uma extensão natural da nossa história”, afirma Marina Flávia da Silva, head de marketing e trade marketing da Cia. Müller de Bebidas.

She also highlights the role of 51 ICE in connecting with consumers who want an easy option to keep up with Carnival’s pace throughout the day.

A nationwide push beyond the terminals

Carnival is a key season for beverage consumption. In this period, the caipirinha with Cachaça 51 remains the most-requested choice, followed by shots and mixed drinks, while 51 ICE stands out for being ready to drink.

The airport activation is part of a national campaign that also includes out-of-home media, VIP-box activations, social channels, and multiple retail touchpoints.
