Carnabendita 2026 Expands with 14 Rio Street Carnival Parades

Sponsored by Ambev and State Government, Carnabendita links 13 blocs in Rio’s street Carnival, spreading from South Zone to Baixada via Caxias Water Planet, vertical soap opera, and Carnatrampo.

Ecosystem Beyond the Blocs

The Carnabendita 2026, in its 4th edition, runs from January 25 to February 21. It builds an ecosystem connecting brands, revelers, and areas across Rio’s street Carnival.With master sponsorship from Ambev, State Government, and Culture Secretariat via Incentive Law, it features 14 parades at spots like Leme Beach, Tiradentes Square, Lapa Arches, São Francisco de Paula Square, and Flamengo Beach.

Baixada Fluminense Debut

The highlight is adding Duque de Caxias with Caxias Water Planet. This move extends Carnabendita to Baixada, targeting over 1.5 million attendees.It also debuts “Who Sees Close-Up Misses the Hustle,” the first vertical soap opera filmed live during parades. The story uncovers behind-the-scenes struggles and joys of Carnival production.

Diverse Lineup

Pre-Carnival kicks off with “Fica Comigo” and “Empolga às 9” in Ipanema. Official days bring “Amigos da Onça” in Flamengo, “Blocobuster” at Leme, “Escangalha” in Jardim Botânico, and “Forró da Taylor” in Centro.More include “Areia” in Leblon, “Divinas Tretas” in Flamengo, “Agytoê” at Lapa, “Que Pena Amor” at Tiradentes Square, “Dinos A/C” at São Francisco Square, and “Mulheres de Chico” at Leme.
