Carnival 2026 is already “bookable”: hotels in Brazil roll out mini-trios, kids’ blocks and rooftop feijoada — or wellness escapes far from the noise.
Carnival 2026, hotel-style
From Bahia’s coast to Rio’s mountain towns, properties are turning the long weekend into an on-site experience. The new twist is balancing family-friendly parties with real downtime, so guests can switch between celebration and rest without leaving the hotel.
At Arcobaleno Resort & Convention in Porto Seguro (BA), the idea is beach days plus all-inclusive convenience. Facing Taperapuan Beach, the resort schedules a kids’ carnival dance with a live brass band, a costume parade with judges and prizes, and “Micarekids” with abadás, a mini-trio and a live band.
The Arcobaleno package requires a minimum of four nights and costs R$ 7,940 (double room + two children up to 12). Website: https://hotelarcobaleno.com.br/
In Conservatória (RJ), Hotel Fazenda Vilarejo keeps its “Vila Verão” vibe throughout February, mixing outdoor activities with daily recreation. The schedule includes trails, climbing, treetop courses, zip lines, a mini-farm, workshops, kids’ dances, costume parties, live music and the property’s signature “Churrasco de Chão.”
Over Carnival, from February 13 to 18, the hotel adds themed blocks with jugglers, the “Vai Quem Vem” block, a masquerade ball with a costume contest, pool parties, dances and creative workshops for both kids and adults.
Packages start at 12 installments of R$ 1,272.50 (2 adults + 2 children up to 12 in the same room). Website: www.hotelfazendavilarejo.com.br
Hotel Vilarejo Praia, set in front of Abricó Beach in Rio das Ostras (RJ), builds its February lineup around the “Sunset Vilarejo,” plus themed nights during the week. Expect tropical parties, a laid-back bar night, a summer warm-up and an appetizer-style “churrasco de chão.”
For children, there’s daily recreation and the Aqua Vila complex, with slides, interactive fountains and a tipping bucket. From February 13 to 18, the program ramps up with an official opening, the “Vai Quem Vem” block, samba dancers, live music and activities for all ages.
Packages start at 12 installments of R$ 940 (2 adults + 2 children up to 12 in the same room). Website: www.hotelvilarejopraia.com.br
At Le Canton in Teresópolis (RJ), from February 13 to 18, the resort runs two carnival blocks: one for adults and one for kids. Children also get a costume party and the show “Carnaval sobre rodas com o Mickey.”
Between events, families can use multi-sport courts for beach tennis, basketball and tennis, try the treetop course and zip line, join circus classes, enjoy heated pools, visit Parc Magique and ride the bike park designed for skateboards and bicycles.
Packages start at 12 installments of R$ 1,209 (two adults and one child up to 12). Website: https://lecanton.com.br
Rooftop parties by the sea
In Maceió (AL), Sais Beach Living Hotel brings a wellness tone to Carnival and turns its panoramic rooftop into the main stage. From February 13 to 17, the program starts at check-in with gifts like a visor, a lanyard cup, confetti and a welcome card; kids receive a carnival accessory kit.
On Saturday (02/14), there’s a kids’ mask-customization workshop and a Masquerade Ball at 7 pm on the rooftop. On Sunday (02/15), “Feijoada Sais” comes with live choro music and is the only paid add-on: R$ 290 per person with beverages included; children 6–12 pay R$ 145 and kids under 5 are free.
On Monday (02/16) at 8 am, “Bloco Sais na Folia” features live music plus water and popsicles. The finale is Tuesday (02/17) with “Pagode do Beat” at 4:30 pm, again on the rooftop.
