Exhibits Honoring Resistance and Legacy

CORpo MANIFESTO marks 25 years of Santa Catarina artist Sergio Adriano H.’s poetic resistance. On view until February 9.

In the historic building, Joaquín Torres García – 150 anos showcases over 500 items from the Uruguayan master, unveiling hidden facets. Talks and lectures run all month.

Until February 12, Todd Haynes retrospective spotlights the New Queer Cinema pioneer. From the 21st, Sarah Maldoror’s Anticolonial Cinema delivers Brazil’s biggest tribute to the African independence filmmaker.

Maranhão Theater Takes Over

Starting February 26, Ocupação Maranhense: 20 Years of Pequena Companhia de Teatro features four shows, workshop, and exhibit—all free.

Kids’ Programs at CCBB Educativo

Educational tours, playful afternoons, readings, music, and instrument-making workshops like castanets and shakers tie into current exhibits.
