Claudia Leitte debuts “Spice Fair” in Cajazeiras wearing a look made from baskets and dried straw, celebrating Brazilian craftsmanship before leading trio in Salvador.
Claudia Leitte opened the Cajazeiras Carnival (PB) this Thursday (12) with an unusual proposal: transforming typical elements from Brazilian popular street markets into carnival haute couture. The singer presented the “Spice Fair” theme at Corredor da Folia, on Francisco Arcanjo de Albuquerque Avenue, in the Esperança neighborhood, starting at 10 PM.
Craftsmanship becomes costume
The costume chosen by the artist features baskets and dried straw structured as the base, directly referencing traditional market stalls where spices are displayed. The accessories complete the concept with an adornment full of spices, harmonizing with the overall visual composition.
This land has a unique energy, a wonderful vibe and is full of traditions that make up our Brazilianness. The ‘Spice Fair’ theme comes from my love for our culture. I bring to this carnival a mixture of textures, flavors, aromas, colors and stories that shape who we are. And today’s look translates this through craftsmanship, straw and spices that form a cauldron of seasonings that is Brazil Claudia Leitte
Concept celebrates Brazilian identity
The “Spice Fair” theme for Carnival 2026 represents the mixture of rhythms, influences, colors, aromas and feelings that mark the singer’s career. Just as spices transform flavors, Claudia proposes a Carnival that awakens the senses and values the various forms of Brazilianness.
To warm up the audience, the artist launched a challenge on social media: each city on the summer tour competes to show where the best performance of “Plugin da Bagaceira” will happen. The “competition” encourages fans to get in the mood and prepare for one of the most anticipated moments of the show.
Carnival marathon
After Cajazeiras, Claudia maintains tradition by leading the renowned trio performances on the Barra-Ondina circuit in Salvador. On Friday (13), she leads Blow Out. On Sunday (15) and Tuesday (17), she commands Largadinho, her signature bloco. On Saturday (14), she performs at Camarote Brahma, and on Sunday (15), at Camarote Club. Between her Bahia commitments, the singer also performs in São Luís (MA) and Votuporanga (SP).
