Diamantina gears up for Carnival 2026 from Feb 10-17, featuring national acts, traditional blocs and 40k daily revelers in the Historic Center.
Blending tradition and innovation
A UNESCO World Heritage site, Diamantina turns its cobblestone streets and squares into a festive stage. Mayor Geferson Giordani Burgarelli (Paquito) confirmed the event. He stresses heritage preservation and safety for crowds.
“We’re ready to double our capacity,” he stated. The edition will boost local economy through tourism and jobs.
Our Carnival is also heritage. We must grow and modernize without losing its essence.
Diverse music lineup
Revelry kicks off February 10 with blocs. Official opening is on the 13th, with shows by Wilson Sideral, Bruno Diegues and Bat Caverna.
