Double duty on the iconic avenue

This weekend, Tatiana Breia tackled a carnival marathon in Rio. On Saturday, she led the technical rehearsal for União da Ilha do Governador. It’s her fourth year as the school’s muse.

Her “Crystal Moon” costume stole the show. It ties perfectly to the plot “Live Today! Tomorrow? Later!”. The look amplified her star power on the runway.

Sunday brought pure emotion. Tatiana hit Marquês de Sapucaí again for Arranco do Engenho de Dentro. She paraded alongside her son, Gabriel Breia, the school’s 7-year-old “little muse”.

Arranco’s historic tribute

Next carnival, Arranco honors Maria Eliza Alves dos Reis. She’s Brazil’s first Black woman clown. The storyline spotlights memory, identity, and female empowerment.

Gabriel plays the honoree’s brother as a child. Mother and son bring heartfelt ties to the tale. It boosts the parade’s cultural depth.

Mom and son’s involvement highlights family bonds and history in carnival magic.
