With the Baía de Todos-os-Santos in the background and the sunset painting the Barra-Ondina circuit golden, the two artists performed a feat that united axé and piseiro before an ecstatic crowd.The action was promoted by 99Food, which brought to the heart of Bahian revelry a meeting between two of the biggest names in contemporary Brazilian music. Ivete, the brand’s ambassador and protagonist of the “Brazil asks for 99” campaign, opened space on the truck to celebrate the country’s sonic diversity.

João Gomes, piseiro phenomenon and one of Brazil’s most listened-to artists, brought his hits that cross generations to the audience. With charisma and simplicity, he showed that the meeting between rhythms is also a meeting between stories and territories. Alongside Ivete, he sang songs that marked his trajectory and consolidated his northeastern identity.
