Jaquelline Grohalski dazzles as “Lions of the North” in Grande Rio

Wearing a golden fantasy full of symbolism, Jaquelline Grohalski honored her Amazonian roots in Grande Rio’s parade.Grande Rio’s muse, Jaquelline Grohalski, turned Sapucaí into a stage of glamour and cultural pride. On Tuesday (17), she paraded as a “Lions of the North” ground highlight, representing the strength and richness of Brazil’s northern culture.The fantasy, designed by the samba school, featured two golden lions perched on her shoulders, their eyes gleaming as if guarding the avenue. Red and gold jewels covered the costume, an impressive display of artisanal technique and elegance.

Amazonian roots in motion

Born in Rondônia and raised in Pará, Jaquelline celebrates her northern heritage through every carnival look. During Carnival 2026, she collaborated with artisans from Amazonas and Pará, uplifting local craftsmanship and spreading awareness of Brazil’s diverse culture.

“Each costume tells stories of my land, of women’s strength, and of the beauty of the North,” said Jaquelline.
