The artist from Pernambuco turned the NOSSO area into a forró stage during the Special Group’s first night, delivering hits like ‘Dengo’ and ‘Coração de Vaqueiro’.
João Gomes was one of the main highlights of the lineup at Marquês de Sapucaí’s most sought-after VIP area on Saturday night, February 15. The singer brought his signature energy to NOSSO, transforming the space into a true northeastern party in the heart of Rio’s Carnival.
The chosen repertoire didn’t disappoint VIP guests. ‘Dengo’, one of the artist’s biggest hits, paved the way for ‘Coração de Vaqueiro’ and ‘Meu Pedaço de Pecado’, ensuring a sequence of tracks that had the audience singing from start to finish.
The performance took place during the first night of Rio’s Special Group parades, consolidating NOSSO’s tradition of bringing together major Brazilian music names with the samba school spectacle. The artist’s energy contrasted with the parade rhythm, proving that Rio’s Carnival embraces all of Brazil’s accents.
