Léo Santana hits Ibirapuera on 02/22 to close São Paulo’s street Carnival with Vem com o Gigante, gathering starts at 9 a.m.
For the second year in a row, Bahia’s powerhouse Léo Santana brings Vem com o Gigante back to the streets of São Paulo. The parade takes place on Sunday, February 22, along the Ibirapuera circuit, with crowds gathering from 9 a.m., in what’s set to be one of the big closing moments of the city’s street Carnival.
What the parade will sound like
The setlist is being tailored for the run and is expected to blend chart staples with fresh seasonal bets. Highlights include “Marquinha de fitinha” and “Desliza”, presented as summer standouts and strong contenders to become Carnival favorites.
Fans can also expect tracks like “Contatinho”, “Perna Bamba”, “Santinha”, “Zona de Perigo”, “Posturado e Calmo”, “Golzinho Vermelho”, “Cama Repetida”, “Surra se Toma” and “Êta Novinha”, alongside other hits from his catalogue.
“Bringing my ‘Vem com o Gigante’ block to the streets, for free, for the people—closing Carnival in the biggest city in the country for the second year in a row—is without a doubt another huge blessing.”
He also urges people to arrive early and promises a “special” and “different” repertoire to “shake up” Ibirapuera and end the season on a high note.
Momentum on streaming
According to the release, Léo Santana has over 11 million monthly listeners across digital platforms and 30 million on YouTube, and is mentioned as one of the few artists holding two positions on Spotify. He is also described as the only Bahian artist with two fan-selected songs competing for “song of Carnival” in 2026.
