Manguebeat is set to flood Rua do Bom Jesus: MV’s “Quem Me Viu, Quem MV” block hits the streets on Feb 11, free, gathering from 7 pm.
MV, a multinational recognized as a Latin America leader in healthcare software development, will stage the 12th edition of its traditional “Quem Me Viu, Quem MV” street block on February 11. Seen as Pernambuco’s biggest corporate Carnival warm-up, the event has become part of Recife’s calendar and returns to the historic Recife Antigo district with employees, clients, partners, and revelers.
Organizers expect to keep attendance strong, with around three thousand people. The gathering starts at 7 pm at Venda do Bom Jesus, facing Praça do Arsenal. Entry is free and open to the public.
Manguebeat leads the 2026 edition
After spotlighting Maracatu last year, the block turns to Manguebeat in 2026. The idea is to celebrate Pernambuco’s cultural identity and MV’s ties to the state, bringing to the streets the spirit of one of Recife’s most influential music and arts movements.
“The block is a moment of integration and joy. This year we chose Manguebeat, and we want to keep celebrating our culture, our connection to Pernambuco, and energize everyone for the year ahead.”
That is how Paulo Magnus, MV’s CEO, frames the event’s role as both a reunion and a cultural tribute ahead of Carnival’s official kickoff.
Traditional route and live music
The parade is expected to follow the classic Recife Antigo route along Rua do Bom Jesus, Avenida Rio Branco, and Rua da Guia, returning to Praça do Arsenal. The music lineup will be led by Maestro Oseias’ Orchestra and Patusco.
