At Rio’s Champions Parade, Marina Sena reunited with Cult Gaia founder Jasmin Hekmat — the designer visiting Brazil for the very first time.
On the night of February 21, the iconic Marquês de Sapucaí Sambadrome became the backdrop for a meeting that bridged international fashion and Brazilian music. Singer Marina Sena and Jasmin Hekmat, Founder and Creative Director of Cult Gaia, came together at the Nosso Camarote VIP box during the highly anticipated Champions Parade.
Their connection runs deeper than a single night out. Earlier this year, in January, Marina starred in Cult Gaia‘s latest campaign, shot in the lush coastal town of Trancoso, in the Brazilian state of Bahia. The images quickly gained global traction, introducing the American label’s aesthetic to an even wider audience.
From the campaign set to Carnival
For Jasmin Hekmat, this trip marked her first time in Brazil — and she chose to experience it through one of the country’s most electrifying events. The Champions Parade brings together the top samba schools from Rio’s Special Group for a night that distills the very best of Brazilian Carnival: movement, color, and cultural pride.
The visit aligns perfectly with Cult Gaia‘s identity. The brand has long drawn inspiration from global aesthetics and rich visual traditions, and Rio de Janeiro — with its vibrant palette and iconic silhouettes — offers an irresistible creative reference.
Marina Sena, meanwhile, continues to cement her status as one of Brazil’s most globally connected artists. Seeing the partnership between singer and designer come alive at the heart of Carnival adds a compelling new chapter to their creative relationship.
