Prince of Bixiga Fuels São Paulo Carnival Fever
São Paulo’s biggest carnival bloc, Acadêmicos do Baixo Augusta, ramps up for 2026 with explosive energy. Rom Santana teams up with Simoninha and the Banda do Baixo Augusta. Dani Vie from Baile da Massa Real adds fire, alongside vocalists Bruna Pazinato and Hevelson Oliveira.
DJs Tatá Aeroplano and Daniel Martins keep the beat alive. Surprise guests promise thrills, true to bloc tradition. Amstel sponsors, Audio partners for this pre-Carnival blast.
“São Paulo Never Sleeps” Honors Nightlife
Marking its 17th year, the bloc celebrates nightlife with “São Paulo Não Dorme”. Nod to Laje do Baixo, their samba house opened June 2025. Main parade hits Feb 8 at Av. Paulista and Rua da Consolação, 1pm, featuring Péricles and KL Jay.
Led by Alê Youssef and Alê Natacci, produced by Baixo Augusta Produções. Final rehearsal Feb 1, same spot.
