Fanfare formed by Fairmont staff transformed posto 6 into a carnival block with feijoada by chef Jerome Dardillac and ocean views.Fairmont Copacabana brought together 200 guests at Tropik, its beachfront kiosk at posto 6, for the third edition of Tropik Block. The partnership with the Rio de Janeiro Tourism Ambassadors Association turned the waterfront into a true carnival hotspot with sophistication and Brazilian flair. The entertainment came from an unusual fanfare: hotel staff themselves got into the Carnival spirit and made revelers dance with Copacabana beach as the backdrop. The soundtrack mixed classic marchinhas and sambas. On the menu, a feijoada supervised by chef Jerome Dardillac won over the most discerning palates. Brazilian cuisine gained the sophistication of haute gastronomy without losing its Rio identity.Guests were welcomed by Accor’s luxury cluster director in Rio de Janeiro, Netto Moreira, and the executive vice president of the Rio de Janeiro Tourism Ambassadors Association, Bayard Do Coutto Boiteux. Sparkling wine and caipirinhas kicked off the party in style. One detail marked the event’s visual identity: the t-shirt featured artwork by French artist Philippe Seigle, created especially for the occasion. The piece captured the essence of the encounter between the hotel’s luxury and Rio’s Carnival energy. The initiative demonstrates how Rio continues to innovate traditional carnival feijoadas. The combination of stunning scenery, glamour and high-level gastronomy creates unique experiences for those passionate about the city.Photos: Messias Martins
