Vogue Ball 2026 turns the Copa into “Carnavália”

On February 7, Vogue Ball 2026 takes over Copacabana Palace with “Carnavália”, an immersive journey through Carnival sounds, eras, and fashion.

With the theme “Carnavália: the fashion-forward opening act of the revelry,” Carnival becomes the main character at Vogue Ball 2026. After editions shaped by fantastical worlds, the event turns to the celebration that hosts it, aiming to honor “the greatest show on Earth” through layered visuals and music.

Designed to welcome 1,600 guests, the night unfolds across the hotel’s six ballrooms. Each space receives its own décor and scenography, creating a route that helps tell Carnival’s story through distinct atmospheres and color palettes.

Creative direction comes from Wado Gonçalves and Diego Ognibeni. Production is handled by BFerraz, a B&Partners agency, returning for its eleventh time leading the event.

Five rooms, five Carnival moods

The Varanda nods to Carnivals of the past, inspired by traditional marchinhas. It brings nostalgia into the present, leaning on melodies that still fuel Brazilian street parties.

The Salão Nobre pays tribute to frevo, featuring an installation of hand-embroidered umbrellas. The idea is to translate the dance’s movement and electricity into a striking set design.

The Salão Golden revisits Rio’s 1990s dance-party scene. Meanwhile, the Gallery offers a luxurious take on Carnival, reinforcing the event’s fashion DNA.

Crystal, home to the stage, draws its palette from Brazilian fauna and flora. The room aims to channel a distinctly Brazilian presence through color, texture, and scale.

LED panels across all rooms heighten the immersive feel. The digital content is based on exclusive illustrations by artist Paula Plim.

A soundtrack shaped by samba’s centenary

In 2026, samba marks 100 years of consolidation as a musical genre. In that spirit, Vogue Ball 2026’s soundtrack will be led by Pretinho da Serrinha, who invites Xande de Pilares, plus two DJs yet to be announced.

Acadêmicos do Grande Rio will once again be part of the night. The presence keeps a direct line between the ball and the world of samba schools.
