Xande de Pilares kicked off Carnival 2026 with a show at Camarote Rio Praia in Sapucaí, bringing celebrities and audiences together in collective chorus with hits like “Tá Escrito” and “Clareou”.
Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival 2026 officially began on Friday (13) with Xande de Pilares on stage at Camarote Rio Praia, one of the most sought-after spaces at Marquês de Sapucaí. The performance opened the VIP box’s schedule during the samba school parades and transformed the night into a massive circle at the heart of the avenue.
With hits like “Tá Escrito”, “Clareou”, “Deixa Acontecer” and “Gratidão”, Xande brought the audience into a collective chorus and reinforced samba’s leading role in Rio’s Carnival. The show united tradition and contemporary style, connecting generations at Sapucaí.
Schedule keeps samba alive between parades
Following the program, Quintal da Lapa invited Grupo Confraria Carioca to lead the samba circles at Camarote Rio Praia, keeping the audience energized between parades.
In the VIP area of Camarote Rio Praia, guests included Juliane Araujo, Maíra Charken and Aline Borges, along with entrepreneurs and influencers who chose the venue to launch their Carnival 2026 marathon.
