World Premiere in Generation

The Ceará film directed by Allan Deberton joins the Generation competitive section at Berlinale 2026, February 12-22. Starring Yuri Gomes, Teca Pereira, and Lázaro Ramos, it’s also in the running for the Teddy Award, the 40-year-old prize for queer cinema.

Produced by Deberton Filmes and Biônica Filmes, co-produced with Warner Bros. and distributed by Paris Filmes, “Feito Pipa” was shot in Quixadá, unveiling submerged ruins at Araújo Lima dam.

Gugu dreams of becoming a great soccer player. Raised freely by his grandma, he’ll do anything to avoid living with his dad.

Story of Growth and Resilience

Gugu lives with grandma Dilma, who raises him with open affection. As she weakens, he hides it to avoid moving with dad Batista, who doesn’t accept him as he is. The tender tale explores childhood, freedom, and family love.

Cast features Carlos Francisco and Georgina Castro. Script by André Araújo, honed at Incubadora Paradiso and other labs.

Deberton’s Rising Path

Deberton, UFF graduate, won Gramado with “Pacarrete” and screened in Shanghai. Deberton Filmes and Biônica boast hits like “Chico Bento” (1 million viewers).

Backed by Nubank, PNAB CE, Ceará Government, BRDE, FSA, ANCINE, and Ministry of Culture.
