The free streaming platform NetMovies adds new highlights on February 19, including the French comedy “The New Toy” (Le Nouveau Jouet). Directed by James Huth and starring Jamel Debbouze, Daniel Auteuil, and Simon Faliu, the film promises both laughter and reflection.

In the story, one of France’s richest men allows his son to pick any birthday gift from his department store. To everyone’s surprise, the boy chooses Sami, the night watchman, as his new “toy” — leading to unexpected lessons about empathy and privilege.

“The New Toy” refreshes the 1976 classic with a clever and heartfelt take on social inequality.

Also debuting is the Chilean action drama “To Kill Pinochet” (Matar a Pinochet), directed by Juan Ignacio Sabatini. The film follows Tamara and her revolutionary group’s real-life attempt to overthrow dictator Augusto Pinochet in 1986.

Another emotional highlight is “Morning”, a drama by Leland Orser starring Laura Linney and Jeanne Tripplehorn, exploring love and healing after a couple’s devastating loss.

All titles are free to watch on NetMovies, with Portuguese dubbing and subtitles.
