HBO Max releases new films and series, including The Conjuring 4, If Destiny Allows, Gary and MasterChef Celebrities.
This week, HBO Max presents premieres such as THE CONJURING 4: THE LAST RITUAL, the new chapter in the acclaimed horror universe. The platform also brings IF DESTINY ALLOWS, a Turkish drama based on a bestselling romance, and the adult animation GARY AND HIS DEMONS. In addition, Brazilian audiences can watch the new season of the reality show MASTERCHEF CELEBRITIES.
The Conjuring 4: The Last Ritual
The film premieres on November 21 and expands the iconic universe based on real events. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return as paranormal investigators Lorraine and Ed Warren, who face their final case together. The story deepens a threat that challenges everything they have experienced.
The cast also includes Mia Tomlinson and Ben Hardy as Judy Warren and Tony Spera. Steve Coulter returns as Father Gordon, alongside Rebecca Calder, Elliot Cowan, Kíla Lord Cassidy, Beau Gadsdon, John Brotherton and Shannon Kook.
The film is directed by Michael Chaves, with a screenplay by Ian Goldberg & Richard Naing and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. The story is by Johnson-McGoldrick & James Wan, based on characters created by Chad Hayes & Carey W. Hayes. Producers include James Wan and Peter Safran, with executive production by Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Hans Ritter, David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, Natalia Safran, John Rickard and Michael Chaves.
If Destiny Allows
The series follows Leyla and Ateş, two young adults whose difficult lives intersect unexpectedly. Leyla, an orphan determined to find her parents, joins a group of scammers to finance her search. Ateş, heir to a wealthy family, seems cold and arrogant when they first meet.
As destiny brings them together again, Leyla’s strength transforms Ateş’s perspective. The narrative explores family secrets, conflicts and a setting marked by striking contrasts. The protagonists discover that love can arise in the most unlikely places.
The cast includes Kerem Bürsin as Ateş and Hafsanur Sancaktutan as Leyla, with Hatice Aslan, Şerif Erol and others who bring depth to the surrounding stories. The Turkish drama is produced by Ay Yapım.
Gary and His Demons
The adult animation premieres on November 21 and follows Gary, an old and grumpy demon hunter. He feels overwhelmed by his role as “the chosen one” and struggles with the responsibility of saving Earth.
The cast features Mark Little as Gary, with Duncan McLellan, Kayla Lorette, Matt Hearn, Kyle Dooley, Seán Cullen, Sarah Hillier and Marty Adams voicing a variety of demons and characters.
Created by Mark Little and Louise Sundgaard, the series is produced by Look Mom! Productions. It is directed by Mark Little, with Josh Bowen as executive producer.
MasterChef Celebrities
The new season premieres on November 21 and gathers 12 celebrities who face intense culinary challenges. Under the demanding eyes of judges Erick Jacquin, Helena Rizzo and Henrique Fogaça, contestants must display creativity, technique and versatility.
The show features challenges such as the MasterChef Auction, the Mystery Boxes and the Wall Battle. The season promises emotion, tension and high-level dishes.
The cast includes Márcia Goldschmidt, Rachel Sheherazade, Dodô, Gilmelândia, Valesca Popozuda, Julianne Trevisol, Leonardo Miggiorin, Luciano Szafir, Hugo Alves, Tiago Piquilo, Maurren Maggi and John Drops.
The production is by Endemol Shine Brasil for Band and Discovery Home & Health, directed by Marisa Mestiço.
