Brazil’s passion for cinema peaks every Oscar season — and 2026 raises the stakes to an entirely new level. On Sunday, March 15, starting at 6 PM (Brasília time), AdoroCinema, the leading entertainment vertical of Webedia Brasil, airs its 6th multiplatform Oscar live show. The broadcast has become the country’s definitive digital living room for film fans.

Brazil in the race

O Agente Secreto (The Secret Agent) competes in four categories, including Best International Feature Film. Cinematographer Adolpho Veloso is also in the running for Best Cinematography for Sonhos de Trem (Train Dreams). The double nomination has fueled unprecedented audience anticipation for a digital broadcast of the ceremony in Brazil.

A creator-powered broadcast

Hosts Amanda Brandão and Digão Ribeiro lead a lineup that includes Otávio Ugá (Super 8 channel), the collective Entremigas, and pop culture commentator Fabão. Fashion influencer Raphael Dumaresq anchors the red carpet pre-show. Meanwhile, reporter Aline Pereira joins from Los Angeles, delivering exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage of the Brazilian delegation at Hollywood’s biggest night.

The broadcast follows the fast-paced, conversational format of top podcasts — designed to resonate with Gen Z audiences who demand real-time analysis, interaction, and cultural commentary alongside the official ceremony.

Record-breaking numbers

The 2025 edition set an all-time record for the platform: 60 million impressions, 40 million total views, and 10 million social media engagements. During the live stream itself, the broadcast peaked at 21,000 simultaneous viewers, with 4 million views and 1.5 million engagements in real time.

Major brands on board

With projections pointing even higher in 2026, Volkswagen, Nespresso, Britânia, Sazón, and Cinépolis have all secured sponsorship spots. Kwai joins as a strategic partner, hosting a dedicated page on its platform to centralize and amplify the show’s content.

The audience no longer wants a rigid, formal broadcast. They want to watch the event alongside people who truly understand it and speak their language. For advertisers, being part of our live show means organically joining the conversation at the peak of audience excitement — at the exact moment it happens. There is no better stage for brands than participating in an event like this in an immersive way, alongside people who know the community.
