The feature film Querido Mundo, directed by Miguel Falabella and codirected by Hsu Chien, begins its international journey and premieres at the 16th Brazilian Film Festival in Russia. The film is produced by Ananã Produções in partnership with Star Original Productions and will be distributed by O2 Play. The cast includes Eduardo Moscovis, Marcello Novaes, Danielle Winits, Cintia Rosa and Pia Manfroni.

The Brazilian Film Festival in Russia is organized by Linhas Produções Culturais and the Embassy of Brazil in Moscow, sponsored by Apex and supported by PhosAgro. The event takes place in four cities: Nizhny Novgorod from November 13 to 16; Kaliningrad from November 20 to 23; Saint Petersburg from November 27 to 30; and Moscow from December 2 to 7.

In 2026, Querido Mundo will also be screened in France at the 28th Brazilian Film Festival in Paris.

“It is incredible to see national productions traveling the world, attracting audiences and captivating international viewers. Whether on streaming platforms or in theaters, we are present. Long live this incredible moment for our cinema. It is an honor to see a film by Miguel Falabella reaching audiences around the world. Long live Malu Galli, Du Moscovis and the entire cast and crew. This is Brazilian cinema shining and traveling the world!”.

The film premiered in Brazil at the 53rd Gramado Film Festival, where Malu Galli won the Kikito Award for Best Actress. It was also screened at the Festival do Rio, one of the country’s most important film events.

“Querido Mundo brings a poetic breeze to the screen, a look at love and at hope that seems lost in such harsh times. I say seems because it is human nature to love and believe. Cinema has the power to reconnect us with these feelings“.

Falabella adapts to cinema the play he directed in 2006. The story presents an unlikely encounter on New Year’s Eve. A bridge collapse during a storm brings together the worlds of Elsa, played by Malu Galli, and Oswaldo, portrayed by Eduardo Moscovis. They meet in Rio de Janeiro, among the ruins of an unfinished building.

Written by Miguel Falabella and Maria Carmem Barbosa, the film features black-and-white cinematography by Gustavo Hadba. The plot blends acid humor with reflections on personal life, career paths and future expectations.
