Over Carnival, UCI spotlights “The Secret Agent” as Film of the Week: Feb 12–18, half-price from R$ 11.50, and UCI Unique pays half any day
From February 12 to 18, Brazilian feature “The Secret Agent” (“O Agente Secreto”), directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho and starring Wagner Moura, leads the chain’s Film of the Week promotion.
Film of the Week for Carnival
The offer targets moviegoers who want a break from the street crowds without losing the season’s energy, pairing theater comfort with a story that unfolds amid Carnival.
A two-time Golden Globe winner, the film is set during Carnival in Pernambuco.
Prices and eligibility
Tickets start at R$ 11.50 Monday through Wednesday and R$ 13 Thursday through Sunday, both listed as half-price (meia-entrada) amounts.
UCI Unique loyalty members pay half-price on any day and at any showtime.
What the film is about
Nominated for four categories at the 2026 Oscars — Best Picture, Best International Feature Film, Best Actor (Wagner Moura) and Best Casting — “The Secret Agent” follows Marcelo, a tech specialist returning to Recife during Carnival in 1977.
As he tries to outrun a mysterious past and reconnect with his son, Marcelo is pulled into a web of surveillance, secrets, and conspiracies, colliding with the celebrations outside.
