A special screening for a special date

On Thursday, April 2, UCI Cinemas hosts a new edition of UCI Azul, its sensory-friendly screening program designed for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or sensory sensitivities. The date marks World Autism Awareness Day, underscoring the network’s commitment to inclusive entertainment.

The featured film is “Super Mario Galaxy: The Movie”, making its theatrical debut. Screenings take place at all UCI Cinemas locations, in Brazilian Portuguese dubbing.

What makes UCI Azul different

The UCI Azul program reduces sensory overload for neurodivergent audiences. Theaters keep the lights slightly on and the sound volume turned down. There are no trailers or commercial ads before the film begins.

All attendees pay half-price admission. Tickets are available on the official website, at self-service kiosks, or at the box office.

Mario’s intergalactic adventure

After saving the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario and his friends set off on an intergalactic mission to stop a threatening new villain. The journey takes them across galaxies filled with fantastic planets, unpredictable challenges, and powerful enemies.

At its core, the story celebrates courage, friendship, and teamwork — making it a heartfelt choice for families of all kinds.
