Coliseu: Exposição Imersiva opens April 9 in São Paulo with 4K metaverse, artificial intelligence, and historical scenography — Latin America’s first stop after successful runs in New York, Barcelona, and Paris.
A global show lands in Brazil
Produced by Bluebees, the exhibition arrives at Shopping Vila Olímpia in São Paulo’s south zone following its international debut in December of last year. The show transports visitors to 1st century AD Rome through a concept called figital — a seamless blend of physical environments and digital layers that deepen the historical narrative at every step.

A metaverse over 30 minutes long
The centerpiece of the exhibition is a shared metaverse experience lasting over 30 minutes. Visitors wear 4K high-definition headsets — developed in partnership with a group tied to the TikTok ecosystem — and enter a virtual world where they can walk, explore, handle objects, and interact with other participants in real time.
The narrative follows characters Caius and Flamma through iconic Roman landmarks including the Pantheon, the Temple of Isis, and the Roman Forum, as well as the backstage of the Colosseum itself. Because the content adapts dynamically, no two visits are exactly the same.
Seven rooms, one journey through time
The exhibition unfolds across seven sequential rooms, each carefully designed with lighting, color, sound, and visual elements that deepen immersion as the visit progresses.
- Room 01 – All Roads Lead to Rome: explores the Roman Empire’s territorial reach and its systems of connection.
- Room 02 – People, Culture and Religion: reveals social layers, religious practices, and daily life in Rome.
- Room 03 – Ludus Magnus: a reconstruction of the gladiators’ training ground, with interactive replica equipment.
- Metaverse Space: full immersive virtual experience narrated through Caius and Flamma’s journey.
- Room 05 – AI Photobooth Cabins: visitors are portrayed as Ancient Roman characters using AI-generated imagery, accessible via QR Code.
- Room 06 – Gladiators – Honor and Glory: life-size replicas of four gladiator types with their characteristic equipment.
- Room 07 – Talk to Gladiator Flamma: an AI-powered interactive totem allows visitors to converse with the avatar of Flamma, a Syrian gladiator from the 1st century AD who survived 34 battles and refused freedom four times.
A themed store closes the visit. One ticket grants full access to all rooms and experiences throughout the exhibition.
