Arena Dicró celebrates March with art, dance, and ecology

Art, dance workshops, and the Agroflorestinha project highlight March at Arena Cultural Dicró in Rio’s Penha Circular.

Managed by the Observatório de Favelas and Rio City Hall, the Arena Cultural Dicró presents a vibrant March schedule blending art, education, and sustainability. The free programming includes visual arts, music, theater, dance, and community-oriented actions.

“What I Inherited from My Parents” exhibition

The highlight of the month is the opening of “What I Inherited from My Parents” by visual artist Andressa Moreira. The show reflects on memory, identity, and generational values through personal and collective stories. It opens on March 20 at Galeria L, with free admission until May 15.

Agroflorestinha project

The Agroflorestinha project strengthens environmental awareness through activities like Planting Workshops (March 7 and 21), Storytelling with Ellen Grace (March 14, with sign language interpretation), and Urban Agroecology Practices (March 28), covering home gardening and natural products.

Workshops and culture in motion

Special events include a Cooking Class (March 17) focused on family recipes, a Vogue Dance Class (March 20), the traditional Bailão do Ary (March 25), and the Passinho Cypher (March 27), celebrating urban dance. All events are open to all ages.

Regular workshops open for enrollment

Regular workshops include Ballet, Jazz, Arabic Dance, Charme, Capoeira, Guitar, Cavaquinho, Tambourine, Theater, Zumba, and Passinho. Registration is on-site at Arena Dicró with ID document.
