From Piazzolla to Gnattali, Ziggy & Miles deliver a moving performance at Teatro Iguatemi’s classical music series.
On Monday, March 16, the Australian guitar duo Ziggy & Miles took the stage at Teatro Iguatemi São Paulo for another concert in the Iguatemi Series, presented in partnership with Cultura Artística. Sponsored by Bradesco Principal and American Express, the 2026 season highlights the venue’s commitment to promoting classical music.
Recognized as two of the most promising guitarists of their generation, the brothers crafted a program that bridged classical and contemporary worlds. Their repertoire included works by Piazzolla, Debussy, and Australian composer Ken Murray, culminating in Radamés Gnattali’s “Suíte Retratos”, honoring Brazilian legends like Pixinguinha and Chiquinha Gonzaga. The encore featured a refined interpretation of the Beatles’ Penny Lane.
The first guitar duo to win the Young Concert Artists Susan Wadsworth International Auditions in 2023, Ziggy & Miles continue to garner international acclaim. Their São Paulo performance reinforced the Iguatemi Series as a platform for world-class musicians and diverse musical curation.
Upcoming concerts include the Heritage Duo Ensemble (April 26) and the Hamilton de Holanda Trio (May 11), cementing Teatro Iguatemi — located on the 10th floor of Shopping Iguatemi — as an intimate, flexible space now central to São Paulo’s concert scene.
