Dancer Antoni Androulakis brings the FLUXNESS workshop to Espaço Tápias on March 17–19 — a method blending body awareness, challenge, and playfulness.
From March 17 to 19, Espaço Tápias in Rio de Janeiro’s Barra da Tijuca neighborhood hosts the international workshop FLUXNESS, led by Belgian dancer and pedagogue Antoni Androulakis. The intensive course is more than a training program — it’s a technical and conceptual exchange that cements the venue’s role as a hub for international choreographic thinking in Brazil.
What the Fluxness Method Is
At the heart of the workshop is Androulakis’s signature method, Fluxness — also known as Flow Work — built from years of physical and sensory research developed in Brussels. The approach dissolves the boundary between movement and everyday life.

A Heavyweight European Career
Trained at the Antwerp Conservatory and with advanced studies at La Manufacture, Androulakis has built a strong presence in the European contemporary scene. Over the course of his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Alexander Vantournhout, Lisbeth Gruwez, Rakesh Sukesh, Eric Minh Cuong Castaing, and Adam Benjamin.
He has also served as choreographic assistant for the companies Cocoon and Keeping. This wide-ranging experience — spanning contemporary dance and circus — underpins a rigorous pedagogical approach rooted in research and experimentation.
